Hello, we're Angus & Bec, founders of Emme Mac Black.
We are lovers of coffee and travel.
Having lived and breathed big cities around the world working in fast-paced corporate roles, we now live on a beautiful farm in regional Victoria.
It was here, from our farmhouse kitchen table, that the idea for Emme Mac Black was born. Already running two family businesses, The Cottage at Dunmore and The Branded Coffee Co, we recognised an opportunity to introduce our own brand of coffee – Emme Mac Black.
A new morning ritual
Named after our daughter, Emme, who began eagerly helping us brew our daily espresso at a young age, our morning ritual has now become all the more meaningful. It’s a family practice that we indulge in every single day.
Emme Mac Black naturally aligns with our passion for coffee and travel, on many different levels. It also brings together our collective experience – Angus having worked in the coffee space for many years and Bec leveraging her background in branding and marketing.
Slow roasted locally, enjoyed regionally.
Passionate about Melbourne’s iconic coffee culture, our beans are Italian-style slow roasted in Melbourne by a family who have been roasting coffee for over 50 years. Our capsule coffee is also roasted and encapsulated locally, in Sydney.
Our operations were originally based in Melbourne, however we have since relocated them to Mollyulah (where we live) after enduring a series of challenging lockdowns during Covid.
Proudly partnering with like-minded regional businesses, our coffee is distributed through cafes, restaurants and specialty food stores. We also supply our specialty coffee to motels, hotels, boutique Airbnb’s and of course, it’s a favourite brew savoured by our guests at Dunmore Farm.
Ethically sourced, sustainable coffee
We believe in ethical coffee. Sourcing our beans across multiple continents and countries in the equatorial coffee belt, Emme Mac Black is committed to supporting ethical farming and sustainable processing practices.
Our commitment to sustainability is pivotal in every business decision we make. From our selection of coffee producers and roasters through to our compostable capsules, local sustainable packaging and even our office stationery, we always choose carefully, with future environmental impact in mind.

Understanding that the provenance of coffee beans has a huge impact on flavour, we carefully select our international coffee partners, ensuring you always enjoy an exceptional coffee.
Our fairtrade, organic and sustainably sourced coffee blends balance the sweeter, harmonious tones of Latin American beans with the spicier woodiness of Indian beans, resulting in a premium selection of deliciously unique flavours.
